How to read it
What a rate does and does not say
WHY THE SAME RATE CAN MEAN OPPOSITE THINGS
+----------+------------------------+------+----------------------+
| RECORD | RATE | | WHAT IT SAYS |
+----------+------------------------+------+----------------------+
| 2 of 2 | ###################### | 100% | nothing yet |
| 3 of 8 | ######## | 38% | nothing yet |
| 14 of 40 | #######= | 35% | a basket, measured |
+----------+------------------------+------+----------------------+
| chance | #### | 20% | five characters play |
+----------+------------------------+------+----------------------+
The top row is the highest rate on the board and the emptiest claim
on it: a coin landing twice. The third row is lower and is the only
one that has been tested. So a position needs 10 decided sessions
before it is ranked here, and everything below that line is listed
separately rather than mixed in.
WHAT ELSE THE TABLE MEANS
+--------------+--------------------------------------------------+
| what counts | a session this position entered and that has |
| | been settled. One still running counts for |
| | nothing either way: nothing has been decided. |
+--------------+--------------------------------------------------+
| whose record | the token's. It travels with the NFT and |
| | survives a sale, so a record says what a |
| | character's basket did rather than how well |
| | anybody played. Nobody picks the stocks after |
| | the mint. |
+--------------+--------------------------------------------------+
| why staked | the pot and the boost are divided by what each |
| is here | winner put up, so a high rate on tiny stakes |
| | and a modest rate on large ones are not the |
| | same result. |

| Where the line is | 10 decided sessions. Below that a position is listed but not ranked: five characters play, so one in five is what chance alone produces, and two wins out of two is a coin landing twice. |
